Boxx's hometown is Redondo Beach, California and she went to Notre Dame.She was a twice finalist for FIFA Women's Player of the year. She also captained 2004 Women's World All-Star team. She is the only player to ever be named to the Women's World Cup roster before earning her first cap. Interesting fact that her sister won an Olympic metal in softball. She has 143 career caps.
