Mitts is from Cincinnati, Ohio and went to college at Florida. Was captain of USA in the 2009 Algarve Cup final. She tore her ACL is 2007 and missed that World Cup. She played 3 games in 2011's CONCACAF tournament. She has 115 career caps and even as a defender has 2 goals.
